Wear & Care

Pavasi jewelry is made of high-quality materials and can remain shiny and unchanged for a lifetime, as long as you give it attention and love.

Here you will find some tips for their care.

Basic Tips on how to take care of your jewelry:

• Use cosmetics, creams, perfume or make-up a few minutes prior to wearing your jewelry

• Do not wear your jewelry in the bathroom, swimming pool, spa, when doing physical activities (e.g. sports, house cleaning, cooking)

• Make sure they do not come into contact with chemical products (e.g. bleach, cleaning products)

• Always store your jewelry separately to prevent scratching, in their box or in airtight bags

• Clean them with a clean cloth slightly dampened in a mixture of warm water and mild dish soap.

• When cleaning jewelry with precious stones, you should be especially careful, as some, are not allowed to stay in a mixture of soap and water for a long time. Rubbing should always be gentle, with a soft, clean cloth so as not to scratch the stones.

• And of course, don't forget: if you clean your jewelry under running water, before you start, make sure you put a stopper in your sink!

Remember:

Even hand washing or bathing can leave soap residue under the stones of your beloved ring, or various chemicals can permanently damage the surface of your pearls and other delicate or porous gemstones like turquoise.

When removing the jewelry it is a good idea to wipe it with a clean, soft cloth to remove any oils or sweat.

It is important to store them in a box lined with fabric, such as Pavasi pouches, in special cases or wrap each piece of jewelry in paper separately to avoid surface marks.

Jewelry Cleaning:

Clean them in a secure place and not in places like the rim of a sink, where you could slip the jewelry or a piece of it and lose it.

Use only a soft brush, never sharp or hard objects, to remove dirt or particles.

Lotions, soaps and other cosmetics alter the optical properties of diamonds and gemstones, making them appear dull.

Heavily soiled jewelry is best to be cleaned professionally.

Clean diamond and synthetic stone jewelry with a soft brush dipped in warm water and mild detergent. Rinse with running water and wipe with a soft cloth.

Pearls can be easily scratched. Use a new, clean makeup brush and warm soapy water to clean them. Place the pearl jewelry on a towel to dry and do not touch the jewelry until it is completely dry.

Never expose jewelry to chemicals or solvents without knowing its specific cleaning requirements.

Other useful tips:

Be careful with light and heat.

Just as the sun's harmful rays can damage our skin, light and heat can affect the durability and color of colored gemstones. Over time too much exposure to the sun, extreme heat or sudden temperature changes can also weaken or damage some gemstones.

Proper jewelry storage is often overlooked. Your Pavasi jewelry comes in the box and pouch provided by us, and this is a perfect place to store it!

Keep your precious jewelry cleaned and checked for damage, loose teeth and general condition at least once a year, by a professional.

Every 2 years or so, re-plate your platinum jewelry, especially rings that wear out the most, and polish any jewelry that has lost its luster.

Do not use household cleaners, antiseptic liquids, wipes and alcohol to disinfect your jewelry. If the jewelry starts to deteriorate due to the antiseptic, wash it immediately with warm water and dish soap to remove the chemicals left on the jewelry.
